The Lego Batman Movie is an animated superhero comedy directed by Chris McKay and written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Jared Stern, and John Whittington. The film, based on the characters from the DC Universe, is the first spin-off in The Lego Movie film series and the second installment overall. The Lego Batman Movie features Will Arnett reprising his role as Batman from The Lego Movie alongside Zach Galifianakis (The Joker), Michael Cera (Dick Grayson), Rosario Dawson (Barbara Gordon), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Jenny Slate (Harley Quinn) and Mariah Carey (Mayor McCaskill).
The Lego Batman Movie was released in the United States on February 10, 2017, receiving generally positive reviews from critics for its animation, voice acting, soundtrack, visual style, and humor, and was also commercially successful — having grossed $310 million worldwide.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The Lego Batman Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker's hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Zach Galifianakis (Muppets Most Wanted, the Hangover films) stars as The Joker; Michael Cera (TV's Arrested Development) as the orphan Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson (TV's Daredevil) as Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes (the Harry Potter films) as Alfred.
